Was 2pac really THAT crazy?

I read Faith Evan's memoir and she claimed that 2pac tried to come on to her in a hotel room and kept blaming Biggie Smalls for his ambush. I don't think Faith Evans would make up something like that, but I don't think Pac was that crazy. People make him out to be some paranoid, conspiratorial person, but it doesn't make sense with the type of songs he rapped and wrote.
