Is lying about a phone contract reason enough to break it?

Phones4U have certainly lied about it and made mistakes on their part. You should take a complaint directly to the store to see if that can help you. If not ask the office of fair trading for advice. They will be able to tell you if you have a case to void your contract or not. But contracts are tough to get out off, but that will be a start.
