Minecraft glitch help?

i was making a pixel art photograph of the pac-man game. i guess the large amount of blocks made a huge hole glitch in the ground. i accidentally fell in and now im falling forever. for some reason im not dying, even though it sounds like i am. is there a way i can get out of this glitch without deleting my world? (i have many creations ive built in there that took me a long time to make)
